Hibiscus flowers are large from 5-20 cm broad, with five or six petals, color from white to yellow, orange, red, pink or purple. In some species flower color changes with age. Originally from Angola, hibiscus is now cultivated throughout subtropical and tropical regions. The tea made from hibiscus flowers is used in some countries to help maintain a normal body temperature, for supporting normal blood pressure, and encourage fluid balance.
